Dear Ken, I discovered one of my employees is using a chatbot to reply to my e-mails and messages. Is there anything I can do about it?

Fret not, I have dealt with many chatbots in my time.
Nowadays, AI is so advanced that it’s almost impossible to tell the difference. Anyone could be using a chatbot, from the postman who delivers your mail to your own son you pick up from school.
This makes it very hard in my line of work when I’m hiring new employees, asking my existing ones to write original essays, or when I’m online dating.
Let me tell you about Paige.
I matched with Paige a year ago and we dated for 6 months. Our conversations flowed amazingly and she seemed perfect in every way. I fell madly in love.
Then, something happened that made me suspicious: she knew more than me. She was very good with facts and trivia, and knew a surprising amount more than me. I would ask her some very difficult quiz questions and she would know over 80% of them.
It started to hit me: maybe the reason our conversations were so good was because she was using ChatGPT.
I decided to confront her one afternoon and she was deeply offended. I was mortified that I could accuse her of such a thing.
Then, it hit me again: an AI would be trained well enough to react that way to any accusation. I broke it off with her. I never found out if she was using a chatbot or not, but I could not risk falling in love with a chatbot and having them hurt me.
So take it from me: you can never be too careful. Treat everyone with suspicion.
