During World War 1, our brave British soldiers fought in the hardest of environments. They didn’t have air conditioning in the trenches, or mental health counseling, and they still won.
Now, people can barely work if it’s merely 15 degrees above room temperature. That’s outrageous.
Let me tell you a story. Last Summer, our air conditioning was broken for 2 weeks. Did I get a backup aircon unit? Did I send them home? Did I let them out for ice cream?
No. They adapted. They survived.
We recorded our most profitable Summer on record.
Diamonds are formed under pressure. Literally. Pure carbon is subjected to over 1,000 degrees celsius to form diamonds. I have considered trying to do that to a human, but it is illegal.
Still, I believe they would not only survive, but become supercharged employees and work at triple productivity. Maybe one day, the laws will change and let me experiment.
This Summer, the air conditioning is conveniently broken. I poured granola into the AC unit.
The human body has evolved to be able to not only survive the hottest of environments, but also answer their e-mails in them too.
